FOUNDATION BOARD MEMBERS
The NAWBO-SA Foundation, governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, is the philanthropic arm of NAWBO San Antonio. It was established in 2009 to support NAWBO-SA's educational programs, provide training and educational opportunities for women business owners, and design, maintain, and fund the High School Mentorship Program, a NAWBO-SA program established in 1999.
The Foundation is tasked with securing contributions to help cover the expenses of NAWBO-SA programs and to generate the required annual funding for the High School Mentorship Program, including the scholarships awarded through the business plan competition
Nancy Hernandez-Johnson
President
Nancy Hernandez-Johnson is the founding co-owner and CEO of AV Calibrations, LLC, established in 2009. She holds a master’s degree in business administration and is a retired Sergeant from the United States Army, having served during the Desert Storm and Desert Shield campaigns. Prior to entrepreneurship, Nancy held management positions in lending and finance at Fortune 500 companies, including Wells Fargo Bank, Compass Bank, Countrywide Home Loans, and USAA.
Along with her husband, Randall Johnson, the co-founding owner and COO, Nancy has transformed their small business into a multi-million-dollar company. They have three children—Andrea, Eileen, and Randy—who are currently in college, along with their three dogs, Reeces, Sparx, and Scrappy. Nancy envisions creating a legacy business for her children to continue providing a “white-glove” client experience with excellent technology solutions.
A member of NAWBO for six years, Nancy has served as a Director for Scale Up, participated in the Million-Up group, mentored in the High School Mentorship Program for four years, and held the position of Outreach Chair on the Foundation Board for two years. In 2024, she was elected as NAWBO’s Foundation President.
Carrie Gray
President-Elect
Carrie Gray grew up in Columbus, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. She holds a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting from BoardSource and is a DISC–certified practitioner. As the owner of Cielo Strategy Group, Carrie leads a team of consultants providing leadership and guidance to executives and board members in organizational development, marketing and communications, fundraising, board governance, strategic planning, constructive partnerships, and coaching services. She brings 33 years of nonprofit leadership and experience to her consulting business and was recognized as the 2024 Woman Business Owner of the Year by NAWBO-SA.
Carrie has been a member of NAWBO since 2022 and has been involved with the High School Mentoring Program of the NAWBO-SA Foundation for the past two years. She is also a high school business incubator coach at Ronald Reagan High School. In addition, Carrie is a Texas Women’s Leadership graduate - class of 2020 and a Texas Women’s Leadership member. She is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega National Fraternity, has served as a Leadership Academy facilitator for two years, reviews collegiate and alumna award nominations at the national level, and is currently serving as a Women & Wisdom mentor. She has been married to her husband, Christopher Lefelhocz, for 28 years. They have two children, Julianne of New York City and James, a first-year student at the University of Colorado-Boulder. A fifth family member is their 7-year-old Bernedoodle named Olive
Yvette Allen
Past President
Yvette Allen was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources from St. Mary's University. She became a REALTOR in 2006 and a Broker in 2009. In addition to owning Real Estate 210, a brokerage and property management company, she actively volunteers. Over the years, she has served as the Chairman of the Board for the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) and served on the coveted Strategic Planning Committee for Texas REALTORS for two terms. In 2022, she was inducted into the National Association of REALTORS® Hall of Fame Political Action Committee (RPAC). She is passionate about real estate investing and currently owns multiple properties. Although real estate is a large part of her life, she has volunteered with the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) San Antonio Foundation since 2018 and was President of the Foundation from 2022 to 2024
Martha Jordan
Secretary
Martha Jordan was born in Harlingen, Texas. San Antonio ultimately became her hometown after her father retired from the Air Force during his last duty at Lackland AFB. She became a Subway franchise owner in 1991 and grew the company with her business partners to 55 restaurants. Over the years has served in multiple leadership roles within the Subway Brand. Serving on Subway National Strategic Advisory Council, Advertising Board, Regional Advisory Council, Field Advisory Council, Mega Multi-Unit-Owner Council, Subway/Coca-Cola Advisory Committee and currently the Board/Chairperson, IPC (Subway’s Independent Purchasing Coop). She also supports many charitable organizations through products and cash donations. A few of those organizations being Christy’s Hope/ Battered Women, San Antonio Food Bank, Kid’s Rock and Haven for Hope.
She has been with Subway for 38 years, rising from the ranks of sandwich artist to franchise owner. Her start as a sandwich artist is a great source of pride and has worked hard to ensure that for her team members, there is a career path to management. She hopes to inspire others at an entry level of their careers with Subway of the many career paths ahead of them, whether they advance within her company or another company.
Martha has also enjoyed serving on the NAWBO San Antonio Foundation Board inspiring young ladies through the High School Mentorship Program.
